¶ Druid — Class Overview

¶ Introduction
The Druid class on The Heroes' Journey (THJ) has several key differences compared to Live servers and other emulated servers. Druids benefit from persistent buffs, expanded pet interactions, and unique auto-granted AAs. This guide covers these differences, auto-granted abilities, skill progression, and tradeskills.
¶ Key Differences from Live
- Buff Persistence: Most Druid buffs do not fade when cast on yourself or group members as long as you remain in the same zone and group.
- Permanent Click Effects: Clickable item effects remain active as long as the item is equipped.
- Pet Buffing: Summoned pets can receive buffs from all beneficial spells, including:
- Their own class spells
- Bard songs
- Spells from other players and clickable items
- Level 1 Auto-Granted AAs — see table below.
- Custom Druid Epic 1.0 becomes available once Kunark is released.
¶ Druid Level 1 Auto-Granted AAs
AA | Cooldown / Cost | Description |
---|---|---|
Destructive Cascade | Passive | Increases the power of critical hits from damage-over-time spells (higher ranks enhance). |
Spirit of the Wood | 15 min | Grants regeneration, armor, and thorns to the entire group; strength scales with rank. |
Consume Item | 5 s | Destroys the cursor item, adding progress toward your power source upgrade. |
Pet Affinity | Passive | Allows beneficial group spells to affect summoned pets. |
Pet Discipline | Passive / Command | Grants Pet Hold and Greater Pet Hold commands. Pet Hold stops the pet attacking unless ordered; Greater version restricts hate list. |
Quickened Companion | Passive | Provides a faster-cast version of Summon Companion; higher ranks may fade the pet. |
Summon Companion | Passive / Instant | Baseline ability to recall your pet to your side. |
Entrap | Passive | Grants a snare-type root ability usable at range. |
Bazaar & Back Gate | 2 min | Teleports you to the Bazaar; returns you back if already there. |
Mnemonic Retention IV | Passive | Adds an extra spell slot. |
Eyes Wide Open VIII | Passive | Expands your extended target window capacity. |
Mystical Attuning V | Passive | Raises the maximum simultaneous mystical effects. |
Consume Item | Passive | Converts select items into mana or endurance. |
¶ Druid Skills
Druids receive all class skills automatically at level 1, increasing them through use. Some skills (e.g., Mend or Remove Trap) may appear due to the server’s multiclassing system, but they cannot be used unless assigned at least one skill point.
