¶ Fiery Avenger: Quest Guide

The Fiery Avenger represents the culmination of a paladin's noble journey, requiring the acquisition of legendary blades Soulfire and Ghoulbane, along with Miragul's head and robe as symbols of nobility and sacrifice. This quest challenges paladins to venture across Norrath—from the depths of dungeons to the lairs of dragons—proving their worth through combat prowess and dedication to forge one of the most iconic weapons a holy warrior can wield.
¶ An Ally to the Knights
- To get started, the first step you'll want to complete is to achieve high faction (recommended to achieve Ally) with the Deepwater Knights. You have three options to achieve this –
- Travel to Paineel and make your way to Atdehim Sqonci in the northeast corner of the zone, in the cleric guild. Killing him will award you +1000 faction with the Deepwater Knights. He spawns on a 10m 40s timer. Camp him until you've reached the intended faction.
- Also in Paineel, you can kill the skeletal guards throughout the zone. These each give you 10 faction, so this will take a while but may be easier for you than Atdehim and friends in the Cleric guild.
- Your third and final option is to slaughter Kobolds in The Warrens and collect Kobold Molars. Take these and turn them in to Tiam Khonsir in Erudin. Each molar will grant a small amount of faction per turn-in.
¶ Dragons and Books and Liches, Oh my!
- Once you've achieved the necessary faction, you'll need to find and collect one each a Torn, Frost-Covered Book and Torn, Burnt Book.
- Torn, Frost-Covered Book drops from Gorenaire in Dreadlands, Lady Vox in Permafrost and Faydedar in Timorous Deep.
- Torn, Burnt Book drops from Lord Nagafen, Talendor in Skyfire Mountains, Severilous in Emerald Jungle and Melalafen in Western Wastes.
- Hand both books plus 1000pp to Rineval Talyas in North Qeynos to receive a Book of Scale.
- Take the book to Oracle of K'Arnon in Ocean of Tears; hand it in to receive Miragul's Phylactery.
¶ The Death of a Lich
- With the phylactery in hand, head to Everfrost, jump through the ice hole north of the river fork, and locate Lich of Miragul. If he's not up, kill the lone placeholder that paths here.
- Approach safely (charm, IVU + calm) and hand him Miragul's Phylactery. He despawns and Miragul spawns. Kill him, loot his robe and head.
¶ Blessings of Inte Akera
- Take SoulFire, Ghoulbane, Miragul's Robe, Miragul's Head and 500pp to the Plane of Sky.
- In the quest room, tell Dason Goldblade “I wish to be tested by Dirkog.” Give him the scroll he hands back to spawn Dirkog Steelhand; pay Dirkog 500pp to spawn Inte on island 4.
- On island 4, hand Inte Akera:
- SoulFire → Inte's First Blessing
- Ghoulbane → Inte's Second Blessing
- First Blessing, Second Blessing, Miragul's Robe, Miragul's Head → Fiery Avenger!
