¶ Ghoulbane: Quest Guide

The second step towards completing the Paladin Epic 1.0 is obtaining the legendary sword, Ghoulbane. For this step, you have three options—you can choose to kill a fellow Paladin for his blade, hunt a Froglok who has gained possession of the sword, or uphold justice, confront betrayal, and vanquish darkness to forge the Sword of Nobility.
¶ The Murder of a Fellow
- When it comes to Ghoulbane, your first option is a guaranteed one – Joren Nobleheart. This is a level 60 Paladin in South Felwithe that can always be found with Ghoulbane. He isn't a particularly difficult fight, and provides no negative faction hits.
¶ An Amphibious Lord
- If you're not keen on slaying a fellow Paladin, or perhaps just want an easier fight, you can try your luck against the froglok shin lord in Upper Guk. This is a level 30 NPC, but has only a 25 % chance to drop the sword.
¶ The Sword of Nobility
- If you're feeling adventurous, head to West Karana and look for Ryshon Hunsti. Hail him, follow the dialogue and you'll receive a Note to Kanthuk.
- Travel to Butcherblock and head to the docks. Near the water, find Kanthuk Ogrebane. Hand him the note and follow his dialogue to receive a Pendant.
- Locate Llara on a rock outside The Estate of Unrest. Give her the pendant and follow her dialogue to obtain a Note to Ruathey.
- Find Ruathey near the Nektulos Forest zoneline in Lavastorm. Hand her the note, ask "What bag?" and receive a Nobleman's Bag.
- Collect the following items:
- Amstaf's Scroll – Goblins, High Keep
- Ghoul's Heart – Ghouls, The Estate of Unrest
- Blade of Nobility – Goblins, Butcherblock Mountains
- Hilt of the Nobleman – Skeletons, Najena
- Combine the four items in the Nobleman's Bag to receive Ghoulbane.
You've now completed half of your journey towards your epic 1.0, hero. Your courage thus far is to be commended. Do not falter—the trials ahead only grow more difficult.
