¶ SoulFire – Part 1, Paladin Epic 1.0 Quest Guide
Cleanse corruption, rally divine allies, and smite the undead to claim the sacred flame of SoulFire.

¶ SoulFire: Quest Guide

Obtaining the first piece of the Paladin Epic 1.0 is quite the adventure, taking you from the depths of a vampires castle, to fighting the leader of a free city. Steel your soul, keep the faith and maintain your path and you, too, will earn the right to wield the flame of SoulFire!
¶ Obtain faction with Priests of Life
- Purchase a few stacks of Bone Chips from the components vendor in the Bazaar.
- Left click on Attune the Map and select Antonica and then North Qeynos
- Find Lashun Novashine. He can usually be found between where you port into Qeynos, and out in the newbie yard beyond the gates.
- Hand Lashun the Bone Chips. This will increase your Priests of Life faction slightly. These can be turned in a stack at a time if you would like. Repeat these steps until at least high Kindly.
¶ Obtain Glowing Sword Hilt -- Castle Mistmoore
- Travel to Castle Mistmoore in Faydwer, start a respawning DZ and make your way into the castle. In the basement you'll look for Xicotl.
- Kill her and loot the Glowing Sword Hilt.
- If Xicotl is not up, a Mistmoore guard is her placeholder and is on a 10m 40s respawn timer.
¶ Gathering Components
- Travel across numerous zones and collect the following components for use later:
- Spider Venom Sac - Spiders around the world. Tarantulas in the Deserts of Ro are a good option.
- Token of Generosity - Give Altunic Jartin in East Commonlands a Cloth Shirt, which you can purchase from Germe Threadspinner also in East Commonlands on THJ.
- Requires at least Amiable faction. Kill Freeport guards if you need to raise this.
- Rat Ears - Purchase from the Components vendor in The Bazaar.
- fire beetle eye - North Qeynos newbie yard. Exterminate the beetles and extract an intact eye.
- Snake Scales - Purchase from the Components vendor in the Bazaar.
- Water Flask - Purchase from vendors.
- Bottle - Purchase from vendors
¶ Craft Bog Juice & Edible Goo
- You're going to need to find a brew barrel. You should be able to find these in pretty much any starting city. When you find one, click on it and search for Bog Juice.
- If you get a result from your search, select it in the list, then craft it. Place it in your inventory behind other drinks so that you don't accidentally consume it.
- If you don't end up with results, click Experiment and place a Bottle, Snake Scale and Water Flask in the window, then click Combine. The combine may take multiple tries initially. Becomes trivial at 21.
- Now find an oven. Again, most beginner cities should have one somewhere. Once you find it, click on it and create Edible Goo.
- If you get a result from your search, select it in the list, then craft it. Place it in your inventory behind other food so that you don't accidentally consume it.
- If you don't end up with results, click Experiment and place a fire beetle eye and rat ear in the window, then click Combine. The combine may take multiple tries initially. Becomes trivial at 21.
¶ Obtain Testimony
- Travel to North Freeport and make your way to the Halls of Truth. Find Merko Quetalis and hand him the Spider Venom Sac you collected previously. Receive a Token of Bravery.
- Hand the Token of Bravery back to Merko Quetalis along with the Token of Generosity.
- Head down into the basement and find Guard Willia. Kill him and loot Token of Truth.
- Take the Token of Truth back to Merko Quetalis and turn it in. Receive Testimony.
¶ Renlin Loves His Champagne
- Travel to East Freeport and make your way down to the docks. In one of the buildings is Gregor Nasin. He sells Drom's Champagne. Buy 4 of these.
- You might find that Gregor won't sell to you due to faction. If this happens, roll an evil-aligned character, pass some money through shared bank and purchase the champagne that way. Otherwise, Gregor is on the Coalition of Tradesfolk Underground faction.
- Hang out in the bar and wait for Tykar Renlin to spawn. He has many placeholders. This can take a while.
- When Tykar Renlin spawns, hand him the four Drom's Champagne. Receive Bunker Cell #1.
¶ Obtain H. K. 102
- Travel to West Freeport and head to the arena. Head into the holding cells underneath and look for a prisoner.
- Hand him the Bog Juice, Edible Goo and Bunker Cell #1. Receive H. K. 102.
¶ The Death of an Overlord
- In West Freeport, enter the Freeport Militia house and head upstairs. Find Sir Lucan D`Lere. Kill him and his friends in the room.
- When Lucan dies, Sir Lucan D`Lere (a Skeleton version) will spawn. Kill this one, as well.
- Loot Testimony of Truth from the skeleton D`Lere.
¶ Obtain SoulFire
- Take the Testimony of Truth you just looted and return to the Hall of Truth in North Freeport. Find Valeron Dushire and hand him the Testimony of Truth. Receive Brilliant Sword of Faith.
- Travel to High Keep. Look for Assistant Kiolna down at the bank. Hand her the H. K. 102 you received from a prisoner earlier. Receive a Sealed Note.
- Finally, make your way to The Lair of the Splitpaw. Find Brother Hayle and hand him the Sealed Note you received in High Keep. Receive a Note.
- Return the Note to Brother Hayle along with the Brilliant Sword of Faith, Testimony and Glowing Sword Hilt. Receive SoulFire!
Congratulations on completing the first step towards the Paladin epic! Take your new weapon forward and use it's holy flame to purge evil from this world.
